CUSTOM ORDER INFORMATION GUIDE

Should you be interested in having an exclusive run of cars made,
the following will help answer your initial questions.
  
1.  Can you make my department’s vehicle? 
 
Yes, the current vehicles we have available are the 2007 Ford Crown Victoria and 2007 Dodge Charger.
 
2.  What is the minimum quantity?
 
Our vendor will make runs as small as 250 to 500 pieces.  These are factory made.
 
3.  What is required?
 
A. Letter of permission on departmental letterhead.
 
B. Good quality digital photos. (See “Photos” for specific requirements.)
 
C.  Factory paint code from vehicle. (See “Paint code info” for details.)
 
4.  How long does it take?
 
From the time we sign a production agreement and receive your deposit approximately 120 to 160 days. This can vary due to production and shipping variables.
 
5.  Can you make one sample car so we can see what it looks like?
 
The short answer is no. Because these cars are factory made, the plates for artwork have to be made. To make just one car simply isn’t feasible. Our existing models can be used as examples of FIRST RESPONSE quality and detail.
 
However, once we have a signed agreement and your deposit is received, you will first receive the line art for initial approval or comment. The line art is a series of computer developed illustrations depicting the exact layout of your car's colors and markings used to manufacture the model.
 
Next you’ll receive a prototype of the actual model. From this we’ll discuss any comments or changes that may be required. Following corrections, full production will commence.
 
What features are included?
 
First Response custom order models include features not offered elsewhere.
 
A.  Our vendor has paint samples of all the regular paint colors offered by Ford and Dodge for their police fleet vehicles. We simply inform them of the paint code and they cross reference it. In the case of a special color if you provide the paint code will have the paint mixed to match.
 
B.  We have the exclusive capability to add extra details such as dual spotlights, correct push bumpers, a wide variety of antennas, modern strobe roof lights, interior strobe light packages, radar sets and a choice of either the full hubcap or black wheel with separate chrome center cap. Using your photos, we’ll select the correct police equipment for your cruiser and install it just like the actual vehicle.
 
C.  First Response models come in an attractive protective plastic display with your departments name printed on the base of the case. This added enhancement highlights and protects the model for years to come.
